All the characters from the Land of Nod are one of a kind sculptures, each handmade by D in a variety of materials using a subdued pallet of colours.
D is a surrealist character sculptor, working primarily in black and white ceramics to achieve the monochromatic interactions of shadow and light that inspire him.
D has always been intrigued by plays of shadow and light, especially in lost, forgotten, abandoned places. The flicker of light in an attic window, the pooling of shadows in the far corners of a dark basement, these are the edges of the land of Nod creeping into our world.
